REBOOT at Loyola Public School, Sreekariyam

Reboot is an initiative aimed at promoting responsible and healthy screen use among children. The project, which was initially implemented under the name Smart Screen, has been rebranded as Reboot and is currently being implemented at Loyola Public School, Sreekariyam, with the CSR support of KIMS Health.
As the first phase of the project, a comprehensive needs assessment and baseline assessment were conducted to understand the students’ existing patterns of screen use, digital habits, behavioural tendencies, and specific needs related to screen usage. The assessment was conducted from 3 to 5 August 2026 at Loyola Public School, Sreekariyam, involving 1,200 students from Classes 3 to 8.
The initial assessment is intended to provide a clear understanding of the students’ screen-use patterns and help identify areas requiring attention and intervention. The findings will serve as a foundation for developing evidence-based interventions and targeted strategies to promote responsible, balanced, and healthy digital habits among the students.
At present, the data entry and analysis process is underway. The subsequent phases of the Reboot Project will be planned and implemented based on the findings and insights emerging from the assessment.
