Smart Screen Outreach at Kettela

As part of the Smart Screen Project, an outreach programme was conducted at Dr. Ambedkar Memorial Girls Higher Secondary School, Kattela, Thiruvananthapuram, with the objective of promoting responsible screen use and fostering healthy digital habits among children and adolescents.

Following a request from the school authorities, a screen-use assessment was conducted as part of the needs assessment process to understand the students’ existing patterns of screen use, digital habits, and behavioural tendencies. The assessment was conducted on 10 August 2026, with the participation of approximately 250 students from Classes 10, 11, and 12.

The data collected from the students is currently undergoing data entry and analysis. The findings from the assessment will be used to identify the specific needs and areas of concern among the students and to develop appropriate awareness programmes and targeted interventions as part of the subsequent phases of the project.
