
HPV Vaccination Campaign

Vincentian Social Services On 1 August 2026, an HPV Vaccination Campaign was conducted under the leadership of Karakulam Grama Panchayat, with the valuable collaboration and support of the KIMS Health CSR team. The vaccination programme was organized at the Karakulam Family Health Centre as part of the ongoing efforts to promote preventive healthcare and increase awareness regarding HPV-related health risks. The campaign facilitated HPV vaccination for 230 girls and young women below the age of 25. The first batch of the first dose was administered in June 2026. As a continuation of the vaccination initiative, the programme conducted on 1 August 2026 constituted the second batch for the administration of the first dose.
The technical, logistical, and organizational support extended by the KIMS Health CSR team, together with the active cooperation of healthcare professionals and the local administration, contributed significantly to the effective implementation of the programme. The initiative represented an important step towards strengthening preventive healthcare practices and promoting greater awareness among young women regarding HPV infection and its associated health complications, particularly cervical cancer.
Through this intervention, the programme sought to encourage timely preventive measures, enhance community-level health awareness, and contribute to the long-term prevention of HPV-related diseases among women.
