Global English Learning (GEL) Programme Launched

Vincentian Social Services has launched the Global English Learning (GEL) programme for children enrolled under KOOTTU (a project for the empowerment of children affected or infected with HIV/AIDS) and HAND (Helping the Affected Neighbours in Disaster). A total of 15 students have been enrolled in the programme.
The GEL programme is designed to strengthen English language proficiency through six progressive levels: A1, A2, B1, B1+, B2, and C1. The curriculum focuses on developing the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—enabling the children to communicate confidently and access better educational and career opportunities.
This initiative reflects the commitment of Vincentian Social Services to empowering vulnerable children through quality education and life-enhancing opportunities.
