Athira
My name is Athira. Life has been very difficult for me. My mother is mentally ill, and my father has been missing for many years. My aunty was the one who raised me and supported my education. But recently, she is also physically ill and couldn’t take care of me anymore.
At that time, I was very worried about my future. I didn’t know how I would continue my studies or achieve my dreams.
That’s when I heard about the De Scholars project organized by Vincentian Social Services. This project changed my life. I am receiving scholarship which helps me stay in school. More than that, I got proper guidance, mentorship, and support for my studies.
My academic performance improved, and I started to believe in myself. I now have people who encourage me and help me plan for my future.
I am very thankful to the De Scholars project for giving me a new hope and helping me continue my education.
