Zero Hunger – Nourishing Lives, One Meal at a Time
At Vincentian Social Services, we believe that no one should go to bed hungry. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, our organization is committed to ensuring food security for the most vulnerable—those living on the streets, families in poverty, the ailing, and the abandoned.
Through our Zero Hunger initiative, implemented by De Care Communities across cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram, we work tirelessly to serve those who are often forgotten.
Our Impact:
🏥 Mumbai Outreach: Every day, over 500 patients and bystanders at TATA Memorial Hospital receive fresh, nutritious meals—offering them strength and comfort during some of their most difficult days.
🧺 Monthly Grocery Kits: We provide grocery kits (15 essential items) to 100 underprivileged families every month—helping them meet basic nutritional needs with dignity.
🍎 Fruits for the Ailing: At Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Hospital, fruit packets are distributed three times a week to nearly 200 terminally ill patients, ensuring they receive care beyond medication.
🩺 Extended Support: Beyond meals, the program also supports patients’ medical and personal needs, reaffirming our holistic approach to compassionate service.
With the unwavering dedication of Vincentian Fathers, volunteers, and donors, Zero Hunger is more than a food program—it is an act of solidarity, a message of love, and a testament to our mission: no one should be left behind.
